Hello everybody, Yohn Voker here!

As 2023 is drawing to a close and 2024 is just around the corner, it is safe to say that I hope you have a great 2023 while some of us are planning to 2024 as a new year's resolution, I'm planning that 2024 will also be a great year for me (in terms of my personal and broadcasting experience).

Speaking of 2024 as far as my broadcast plans go, I'll continue calling sports for Lawrence Tech University, and right now, I'm on basketball duty and hopefully going to work on spring college sports like lacrosse, which I haven't called a lacrosse game since last year (two years to be soon), but I hope it'll change very soon and it'll be great to have my third year as an LTU Sports Broadcaster coming along very well so far. But I want to have some more experience in my sports broadcasting resume.

Remember when I said that I wanted to call professional soccer? I want to keep that promise! Last year, I almost made the commentary team for the season of MLS Next Pro, but unfortunately, I didn't make the cut and that's okay. I wanted to show someone that I could be as good as I am from a perspective and know that I have what it takes to call soccer or any other sport I can call.

So for my broadcasting plans for 2024, I'm now looking for other challenging and rewarding play-by-play opportunities in the full-time or a freelance role within the U.S. and I will continue to call sports for Lawrence Tech University such as soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and maybe softball. Also, I want to call professional men's and women's soccer such as MLS, MLS Next Pro, NWSL, USL Championship/League One, and the USL Super League, a brand new Women's professional soccer league from Vista Worldlink (if they want to recruit me) and call D1 College Basketball. Also, if it's good enough to call other sports, I was thinking of calling the PLL (Premier Lacrosse League), now that eight teams are split into two conferences and the teams have their home markets.

As an alumni of Rich Hollenberg's Break In and Breakthrough Sportscasting Cohort, I want to be myself, make it to the highest level, get more reps, and send my demo reels to anyone I want to impress my sports broadcasting skills. Until then, I want to continue my work before the next big break comes and it's never too late to get the job done.

If you want to hire me for any sports play-by-play opportunities, check out the Reel section. You can also check out my resume and contact me via phone, email, and LinkedIn.

Have a happy holiday and a Happy New Year!! See you in 2024!!
