I DEFINE MYSELF AS A PLAY-BY-PLAY BROADCASTER

As I get ready for a new job coming up in the next few weeks, I want to make this post that could give me motivation as I continue my sports broadcasting career.

These words gave me an idea thanks to WWE Superstar and future Hall of Famer Becky Lynch on RAW back on Monday before being sidelined with a separated shoulder injury at SummerSlam.

Now, everything I do when it comes to sports broadcasting, I give it my all and in the past, I talked about myself how to get better every game, learn from the best sports play-by-play announcers and not knowing who I was at first when I came into the booth for the very first time, but every time I'm in the booth calling either soccer, basketball or lacrosse, I am happy to say I finally remember what my true profession really is. It's not about being the best and it's not about making mistakes and prepping up for the next game, it is in the determination, it is in the persistence, it is in the relentlessness, it is in owning every mistake that I've ever made, it is in the pursuit to better today that I was yesterday.

And so when I was let go from the Michigan Soccer Network in June, I have two choices, I can either give up or I can move on along a find way to continue my sports broadcasting career. So I reflect myself what I have accomplished so far in my early days of my sports broadcasting career and as time goes by, day by day, minute by minute, it wasn't as painful as the realization that I have come so separated from reality and I did what I have to do not only for myself, but that I can become the best sports play-by-play broadcaster that I can ever be. For everyone that I've known throughout the last year, who have work so hard to bring in all the action behind the scenes.

And so when I take off my headset after the game, I knew that I have given my best at doing play-by-play (sometimes, analyst) and feel the moment, win, lose, or draw, but I am reminded that I am not defined by any match, I defined the match and I am not defined by any calls of the game, I defined the call of the game and I will not be defined by any sports play-by-play broadcaster... I DEFINED BEING A SPORTS PLAY-BY-PLAY BROADCASTER!!

And so as I continue my momentum for the remainder of the year and on to next year, I want to make a jump to the big leagues, I want to impress people who can follow me onto the next step of my sports broadcasting career and it starts NOW!!

But first, I want to give credit and want to give thanks to the two people that can lead me every step of the way when I was going to plan on calling MLS Next Pro matches, but encouraged me to keep working hard and honing my craft before moving forward to call MLS Next Pro.

Sean McCabe and Steve Cangialosi, you guys definitely helped me trying to become the best soccer announcer that I can be and that's a head start to begin with, but hopefully by the last few weeks of the regular season and onto the playoffs or maybe next season of MLS Next Pro, I'll do my absolute best to not only call some matches, but also prep for both teams and coaches calls about the next matches, the players and the stats. I know that I won't let you guys down. I'll keep doing my best until the end!

And that's the end of this blog.
